Snow fun

Cory took the kids sledding behind the four wheeler the other day and while we were out playing the snow plow came by and made us a hill by our house for the kids to play on. It's not huge the it's big enough for little kids to ride down. So thanks snow plow man whoever you are!

Meg wasn't about to smile for any pics. But she still looks cute as an eskimo.
awww..so cute.
I know you've all seen Barkley already, but I was so proud of the pic I took I had to share it.

Christmas morning

Christmas morning was so much fun. We took it really slow opening the presents and just hung out. Walker asked Santa for a remote control Wheelie Cycle and got it. It is SO fast and definitely an outside toy!

Meg got a stroller, a little people farmyard, and a bunch of other little girl things. She was excited but got a little overwhelmed with everything. She just kept saying "open presents".
I had to stick this picture in here. Jill and LaMar gave her a bunch of bows and she had to put every one of them in her hair and wouldn't let me take them out for the longest time.

Christmas Eve

Every year on Christmas Eve my mom and dad have a party at their house. It's always so much fun with tons of great food, Santa, games and lots of CrAzY kids. This year we played bingo and the prizes were envelopes with random amounts of money in them from ones to one twenty dollar bill. Meg was the first one to win and guess which envelope she picked...Yep! She got the twenty. She got some awesome necklaces with it. Thanks mom and dad it's always so much fun. Walker, Ashlee,Kaitlyn, and Ellie watching for Santa's reindeer out the window. They spotted Rudolphs nose!!

I wish this was the real reaction Walker had when he opened ANY present. He was way excited about the game and didn't put it down for the rest of the night but I had to force him to smile. Anyone else have a six year old with a teenage attitude?
My mom and dad gave the three youngest girls cabbage patch kids with a bag full of preemie clothes to dress them in. Meg was so excited about her baby. She opened it and danced around forever saying, "baby, baby, baby!!" It was so cute.
Proof of how much Walker loves his new DS game.

12 days of Christmas Tag

1 Embarrassing Moment: Um, it could definitely be when Cory and I were in Cancun with Justin and Darla and I decided I wanted to learn to drive the scooter and I crashed us. Don't ever freak out and just gun it when you panic! All I could do was laugh when everyone was staring at me. I didn't understand why no one else was thought it was funny! - guess it looked worse than I thought.
2 Best Friends: Cory, family.
3 Things I buy regularly: milk, fruit snacks, cereal
4 Places I want to go: New York, back to Cali to stay in a beach house, on a cruise, back to Hawaii
5 Goals for the upcoming year: Get Meg potty trained, be a nicer person, start reading my scriptures again (like I should wait for next year), KEEP exercising, actually save some money.
6 Things people don't know about me: I can't relax when my house is a mess, I hate doing my hair, I love doing Meg's hair, I'm not very nice in mornings, I can't stand wearing earrings - I feel so weird in them, I LOVE shoes.
7 Things I would never say: Lets sit down and watch the Jazz for 3 hours!, I love watching sports on t.v. , I love stupid movies, No thanks..I already had one cookie I don't need another one, No, I can't go to lunch with you...I need to do laundry, Wow Walker, you put your shoes on so fast!, I don't need a new pair of pants.
8 Things I love about the Christmas Season: Listening to Meg sing Jingle Bells, All the questions Walker has about Santa and his elves, The family time, driving around looking at lights, my Christmas decorations and tree, the Christmas parties, Meg showing me baby Jesus in every nativity, watching my kids faces,

10 things I do a lot: change diapers, cook dinner, clean, do laundry, drive to the school, laugh at my kids, make cookies, text, stay in my pajamas way to long, procrastinate cleaning my house
11 things I would rather not live without: Cory, my kids, my family, Cory's family, my warm house, my favorite pants, my slippers, ponytails, a toothbrush, my car, our boat.

Elmo pics!

Happy bday to me!!Meg giving Elmo some love.

This one isn't an Elmo picture, but I had to remember how cute she looks in her apron. Grandma Jill and Grandpa Lumas gave her a table, chairs, pretend food, pretend dishes, and an adorable apron. She kept the apron on ALL day. She screamed when I tried to take it off of her.

Here she is after she blew out her candles. She's obviously enjoying some of the frosting she got on her finger. Grandma Jane and Grandpa Mark gave her an adorable outfit and some puzzles, Jamie and Barry gave her a doll and the cutest hair bows (my sis is so crafty!) How lucky is she to have such great family surrounding her.
This cake was almost the death of me! Red icing is not an easy thing to make. I put at least three bottles of food coloring in the icing, then it went too runny so I had to add more powdered sugar, and had no idea what I was doing. Then my hands were stained red. I was surprised that it was even edible. After MUCH stress and lots of tries I think it turned out ok. You can tell it's Elmo right?!

Look who just turned two!!

Happy Birthday Meg!! Today our baby turned two. Her first two years have gone by so fast. I guess it's normal for that to happen - time goes by just a little faster with each child. Even though I know it happens to everyone, it still makes me a little sad. She is such a fun little girl, always makes me laugh. She is talking like crazy, LOVES Elmo, is so patient with me when I mess with her hair for hours, is addicted to candy(wonder where she got that from) , is a mellow baby, is really good at playing by herself, she could entertain us for hours. I could go on and on and on. But I'll stop. We love this little girl to death and are so happy that we got her! . Love you Meggie!!!

He really does love me...

I had to post this so I could remember that Walker really does say sweet things to me.

The other day Walker was asking me about why Cory's younger brother Brett isn't married. I told him that he isn't ready to be married and that he hasn't found someone that he wants to marry. I went on to tell him that you have to find someone that you love and want to be with all the time, have kids with and be with FOREVER even after you die. So he says, "Oh, so someone like you?" awwww, he really does love me. Cory told me that he's a little boy and little boys don't say sweet things very often. So I had to get this written down before I forgot. :)

More Christmas fun!

We had our ward party a few days ago and the kids got to see Santa. Walker forgot to tell him what he wants, so we made sure to write him a letter a few days later. Meg - there was no way she would tell him what she wants - let alone sit on his lap! Maybe next year Meggers.

I'm not very good at getting pics on here in the right order. Shouldn't the finished house be last? It's too big of a pain to move pictures around on here so I guess I've ruined your surprise! :)
We couldn't keep Meg's fingers out of the icing.
Look at the concentration on that face! (don't notice the hideous tattoo!)
I had to post this one of Walker hauling our tree down the mtn.

Decorating the tree/ Cory's early Christmas

I didn't get a whole lot of pictures of us decorating the tree because I was putting the lights on as they were decorating it. We filled our night with too many things. We promised Walker we could decorate the tree and we also promised Cory a puppy. Both in one night wasn't the best idea but we got it done. Meg thought it was lots of fun putting the decorations up, if only she'd leave them on. The tree looks pretty silly, it's only decorated from about the middle up to keep Meg from breaking things. It's always fun to get the ornaments out every year to see them again. We've made it a tradition to give each other a new ornament for the tree every year so it's fun to remember why and when we gave them to each other. I love pulling out the bob the builder one of Walker's because it reminds me of when he was about 3 and couldn't get enough of him. Just brings back lots of good memories.

Onto the dog. I didn't want a new dog...EVER. It's too hard to get attached to them and have them die and they're definitely a lot of work, especially when they're puppies. Cory felt totally opposite of me. He was kind of lost w/out a dog (how do I tell him no?!) so he got an early Christmas present named Barkley. It felt like I was giving a little kid a puppy he even said, "I'll take care of him". If only I wasn't the one stuck home with him all day long. No, really he is a fun dog and the kids can't get enough of him. So welcome to the family Barkley!

Walker was excited to pull out his Ninja Turtles ornament!
Meg putting on the same ornament for probably the 15th time.
Cory's new pup! Look how happy he is :)

Sad, sad day...

So, today we had to put our sweet dog, Alex, to sleep. He was about 8 years old....we had him longer than Walker! He was such a friendly, happy, fun, mellow, perfect dog. He never barked w/ out a reason, was so good with our kids - Meg could pull on his ears and he would just bear it. He thought he was part of the family - I guess he was. He never let us leave on the four wheeler without jumping on the back and taking up way too much space, or follow us until he couldn't run anymore and we had to load him on and bring him home. When we went camping he would jump into the chairs surrounding the fire (he jumped right onto Haley's lap once). If he ever heard the truck start he barked and jumped around until it was out of sight or he got to hop into the back to go for a ride. We'll never be able to replace him and he'll be missed like crazy. Hope there are lots of 4-wheelers to ride on wherever he's at now. Luv ya buddy!!!

Happy Thanksgiving - pictures

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! We spent a great day at Cory's grandparents in Pleasant Grove today. The food was great and the company was great too. It was a nice relaxing day after we ran our 5k in the rain! I swear I think it sounds fun to fun in things until I'm actually doing it and then I think," why the crap did I sign up to do this?!"

Cory has the sweetest grandparents and they're always so great to us. They make me miss my Grandparents - I was blessed with the greatest ones anyone could ever ask for and it's not very often a day passes by when I don't think of one of them or wish they were around so I could stop by or call them to ask a question. I know I'll see them again some day, but it sure seems like a long time. So Cory has to share his with me for now.

Anyway, we got family pictures done and we finally got them back so I'll post a few of them that are my fave.

I never realize how much these two look alike until I see a picture like this.
How Cool is he?
We had to give her a flower to keep her happy, it's definitely cute in the picture though.
Love the boots!

In Honor or Twilight

I've been waiting for today for a LONG time! I get to go see Twilight tonight at midnight with a bunch of my friends. (sorry Cory - I still love you more than them) I'm so excited!! I know not to expect much compared to the book so I'm going in with low expectations and hopefully I'll be surprised at how much I love it. So-my blog is dedicated to Twilight for today...after that...here comes Christmas. I can't keep my Thanksgiving one up any longer I need a cute Christmas one :)

Fun Shopping Weekend

Every year me, my mom, and my sisters go Christmas shopping in November. We did it last weekend and had so much fun. It feels so good to have so many of my presents bought already. - (It's way too easy to shop for a 2 year old little girl!) We ate out at yummy places, shopped like crazy, hung out in the hotel, and laughed. It's so much fun to have such awesome sister's and mom. I'm definitely lucky to be surrounded by such great family. And thanks to the husbands for letting us all go and watching the kids. I took my camera but the only picture I got was of Haley sitting on the bed and of the back of the van chuck full or presents (We barely fit it all) I never had my camera when I really wanted it - like when we were all dead tired sitting on the benches in the mall eating our yummy coldstone ice cream.

Six Random Things about me

The Rules

1. Link to the person who has tagged you Jen

2. Post the rules on your blog

3. Write six random things about yourself

4. Tag whoever you want. (it says to comment on everyones blog the they've been tagged, but I"m not gonna do that. If you want to do it - go ahead)

1 - I can't stand it when people scrape their teeth on their utensils...yuck! Makes me cringe just thinking about it. or scrape them on their plate, pan, etc.

2. I love getting on Facebook and seeing what everyone has written as their status. (I love to know what I'm not the only mom putting off crappy chores)

3. I'm obsessed with my email. I can't walk past the computer w/ out checking to see if anyone has anything to say to me.

4. I love reading recipes. I don't use most of them, but I can sit for hours looking at sites or in magazines at all the yummy things there are to make and eat out there. - and then I end up making grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner. :)

5. I'd wear a white t-shirt and jeans every day of the year if I could get away with it. Don't know what it is about them, just love em'.

6. I have an obsession with way too expensive pants. Why are they always the only cute ones in the store? I wish I was a cheapskate, I should be. But when it comes to pants theres no stopping me. - ask Cory

Denver/Broncos Game

Well, after all my worries about leaving my kids and crying as I was leaving them, Denver turned out to be a lot of fun. (not that I ever doubted it) :) The first thing we did when we got there was drive right to the Broncos game. They played the Dolphins and lost, but it was still so much fun. It's so different to watch it live than on t.v. It looks so much bigger on the t.v. and a lot more official. We got to sit on the SECOND row. Don't ask me how Cory scored those seats but he did and it was so much fun. We sat close enough to see the players faces and see the slutty - I mean pretty cheerleaders. Not a big fan of them. They bugged me. Anywho...The game was definitely the highlight of the trip. We sat behind some crazy fans one of them had a thing on his head that looked like fire and a jason mask and hulk gloves. When we got home we watched some of the game on t.v. to see if we made it on and the guy right in front of us to the right made it AND the guy right to the left made it, but not us. In front of Mile High Stadium
This is us the last night we were there, we were both reading and trying to entertain ourselves because we couldn't stand one more night of walking around a mall. All there really was to do was eat out, shop, eat out, and get fat! :) It kind of felt like staying in Salt Lake. We did stay right downtown so I could entertain myself walking around while Cory was in class all day. It was fun to spend alone time with Cory. I've forgotten what it's like without kids.
What bags under my eyes?
Look how close we are!
A couple of the players walking off the field at the end of the game. The only one I recognize is Eddie Royal. He was my fave to watch.

My Goblins

Well, Halloween was a success. The kids got home with bags full of candy and they both had lots of fun. Meg had a rough start - she wasn't very happy after her nap but once we showed her that you get to put candy in the bag when you say "trick or treat" she was all for it. I know I already posted pictures of my kids in their costumes, but I couldn't not do it on Halloween!
Dracula
Meg was still a little grumpy in this picture.
Love this picture!

Happy Birthday Cory!

So, Cory turned 31 today and he wasn't very excited about it. I figure once you hit 30 it's no big deal anymore right? Cory doesn't think so. (I probably won't think so either when it's my turn) Just wanted to tell you happy birthday. Our kids couldn't ask for a better dad, and I couldn't ask for a better husband. Thanks for being patient with me, being funny, loving me - even when I'm a beast, letting me have a girls night out once in a while, making me laugh, making Walker laugh, making Meg laugh, fixing EVERYTHING around the house, letting me spend way too much money on pants, being sweet and thoughtful. And lots lots more. We love you!! You're the best.

" I like your sleeves"

So, my friends and I decided to have a Halloween party and make everyone dress up so we could laugh at each other. It worked out really well because everyone looked hilarious. The kids had a blast decorating pumpkins, making cute spider cookies, passing around an eyeball, eating doughnuts, winning cupcakes, and finding ghosts. It was fun to see everyone dressed up because on Halloween night everyone is too busy trick or treating to see each other. We had some awesome costumes!
Walker decorating his pumpkin - you should have seen the finished product! so awesome
I really didn't need another picture of me as Deb, but this is the only picture we have of Meg agreeing to keep her hat on long enough for a picture. What a sweet little witch.
Seriously- have you ever seen a hotter couple?
Napoleon and Deb
(in case you couldn't tell- thats where the title of my post came from too)
Todd and Michelle (she really does have a bun in the oven, you just can't see it)
The girls - notice our 80's Homecoming Royalty in the middle.
