....wrestling

Cory reminded me last night that I never blogged about Walker's wrestling season. I didn't blog about it on purpose hoping that it would be erased from my memory forever. Man, it's hard to watch your kid wrestle. I learned that one of the hardest things to do is watch your child feel defeated, and not to mention being held down by other little boys while struggling to get away. But I also realized how good it is for him to learn to lose so that when he finally wins he is a good winner and knows how the other kid feels. (He patted the wrestler that he won on the back as he walked away.) Walker lost all of his matches up until the tournament where he won two of the three and took second place in his weight division. What a difference it makes when he wins. Cory and I  can actually breathe, and Walker isn't crying after his match, he's got a big 'ol grin on his face.  Before the tournament he told me he was going to finish out the season and would be done with wrestling....once he won a few matches he changed his mind.  I hope he forgets!

The goings on of PJ

Helping unload the dishwasher...this is her new favorite activity...besides climbing the stairs

finally a day warm enough to spend a little time outside
She got to go along with me on a girls trip to St. George. This is her enjoying my pedicure

Preslie will be 9 months in a few days. I can't believe she's been out of my belly as long as she was in...sure goes a lot faster when she's out. She is such a fun, happy baby. Walker and Meg still adore her and she adores them. She attacks them and climbs and slobbers all over them when they get down and play with her. She's a momma's girl which I'm not really loving. The other two kiddos couldn't care less who was giving them attention, but PJ has her own ideas of what she wants. She started army crawling at 6 months, crawling at 7 months and now her new thing is standing and walking along the furniture and climbing the stairs. I have a feeling we'll have an early walker. She's a busy busy girl.

He lost it!

We thought it might never happen, but Walker FINALLY lost a front tooth. Lets hope that the slow toothloss will equal great cavity free permanent teeth in the future and if we're wishing might as well wish for braceless teeth too. Now he can join the ranks of little kiddos with teeth too big for their heads :) Slowly but surely our little guy is growing up....kinda sucks

Love ya little guy!

Meggie Flashback

I was going through our old videos and found this of Meg. She's singing a mixture of I'm a Little Teapot and Where is Thumbkin, and a few other random things.
I thought it was the cutest thing.
Yes, I am her mother and am of course biased.
I've been meaning to write some things down about her too.
Meg is the definition of ~GIRL~
When she goes to bed she tells me that she wants to dream about butterflies, princesses, fairies, castles,  rainbows, ponies, etc.
To describe Meg I'd say she lives in her own little fairyland.
I absolutely adore it.
I hope she stays this way forever.
Not to take away from her sweetness, but she is pure drama queen.
A very sweet drama queen
Yes, we are in for a lot of trouble

A couple of weeks ago she told me that her teapot was for little kids because it has a "play bla blo" on it. We kept asking her to repeat herself and she'd say the exact same thing again and again. So she showed me what it was. - It was the red fisher price marking on the pot. Still made no sense. Until last night she said it again and the tune "Play, laugh, Grow" popped into my head. She thinks that when they sing "Play, Laugh, Grow" that they're saying, "Play, Bla, Blow".

One more thing. She's been telling me that she wants to go to "Hamma-time-romi" for months and months and I've never understood where or what she was talking about. The other day we drove past the taco shop in town and she pointed to it and told me that was hamma-time-romi and it's the place they make chocolate.

Silly...silly girl
