Camping

Every year my family (my mom, dad, brother, sis's and their families) go camping. We always have tons of fun. There are eleven grandkids in all so you can imagine the noise and messes that we get to deal with! I don't know if I've ever seen dirtier kids anywhere in my life.

Walker and Ashlee on Smoke
Here is a picture of Walker before he toppled over into the creek.
Here is a picture of the kids filling up their squirt guns to torture each other! The squirt guns were a great idea- thanks mom!
This is what Cory does best when we're camping!
Meg wasn't too big of a fan of the horses
Meg after a good crash!
We decided to let Meg play in the creek right before we left to go home, we should have thought of it earlier!
I loved this picture of Ashlee, she would ride horses all day every day if we'd let her.

Tagged again.....by Jen this time

1- What I was doing 10 years ago
hmmmm, ten years ago.....It was the second summer after my graduation and I remember debating forever about whether to stay in Cedar for the summer and work or come home. I came home and worked at a gas station. I think it might have been best if I would have stayed in Cedar because I think I had one of the most boring summers ever! But in December of 98' Cory came home from his mission and for some odd reason we started dating!! Never expected to date one of my best friends. To make a long story short, here we are almost nine years later with two kiddos happy as could be! :)

2- 5 things on my to-do list
-Finish watering the lawn before we go camping tonight
-Pack for Meg
-Finish the laundry
-Go to the grocery store
-Drive to the canyon

3- Things I would do if I were suddenly a billionaire
- Pay off any of our debt
- Pay off any of my families debt (thats a hard one though, where do you stop?)
- Take the kids on tons of fun vacations because I would have enough money to bring a nanny with us.

4- Three bad habits
- Yelling when I'm mad
- Eating too much junk food
- picking at my face!

5- Places I have lived
- Delta, UT
- Cedar City, UT
- Provo, UT
- Lindon, UT

6- States and Countries I've visited
- California
- Nevada
- Idaho
- Wyoming
- Hawaii
- Mexico

T-ball pictures

So I finally remembered to take my camera to one of Walker's t-ball games. This is the first year that he's been old enough to play and he loves it. I have to say that I'd way rather sit through a t-ball game than another soccer game!
Meg Cheering her big brother on.

I had to tell him to stand up, I think they get a little bored waiting for the ball to be hit.

Can you see his tongue sticking out, thats how serious he is about running :)

I loved this action shot. So cute

St. George Trip

So I spent last weekend in St. George with all of the ladies that I work with at Zions bank. I think it's so cool that we get along well enough to spend time together NOT at work. Anyway, you would never know how much fun 50 year olds would be! There were about 14 of us. We stayed in a 1.2 million dollar house, we were only the second group to stay there. It was SO nice. It had 5 bedrooms 4 1/2 bathrooms, a pool table, awesome theater room, and to top it all off a pool and hot tub in the back yard w/ a really nice bbq. I forgot my camera (of course I'd forget my new camera) or I would have tons of pictures. They would probably kill me because the pictures that did get taken were mostly out at the pool w/ everyone in their swimsuits. So guess what we did for fun. Most creative jump into the pool contest, raft races (three or four of us would line up at the end of the pool, put our rafts in front of us and jump on and see who could make it to the other end the fastest) I laughed so hard. There was some synchronized swimming going on, lots of cartwheels into the pool, a few handstand contest, and lots of sun tanning. There were only three of us that were under forty years old and we had to fight for control of the radio a few times, they only wanted to listen to the oldies. So anyway, just thought I'd at least write and let everyone know how awesome the people that I work with are!

3 Joys
- My family. Cory, Walker, Meg, mom, dad, sisters bro, in-laws, nieces, nephews, Cory's family. We're so lucky to live close to so many people that we love, not that we don't love the ones that don't live close to us! :)
- My Friends. (Stacia I'm really not copying you!) I have a ton of awesome friend, some I've had forever since I was in like elementary school, some new ones, some that live far away and we still keep in touch. Its great to know that I'm surrounded by so many great people that I know I can always count on.
- Reading. I've become obsessed with reading lately. I think that a lot of it is my sister-in-laws fault. She ALWAYS has a book with her. "It's like a security blanket." is what she says. I love having a book waiting for me to pick up and read. Cory feels neglected when I get into something like the twilight series, but that doesn't happen too often, I can usually put a book down to give him some attention- unless Edward is involved! haha

3 Fears
- Ewww..spiders!!
So stinking disgusting! I've finally gotten to the point to where I can kill one (if it's not too huge) but there were times where I was honestly going to call Cory and make him drive home to kill a humongous, disgusting, longlegged, huge, spider. I am seriously grossing myself out picturing this spider in my head!
- Losing someone I love. I'm sure everyone feels this way, but to even think about Cory, my kids, my mom, dad, anyone in my getting hurt and dying..makes me sick!
- Not being a good enough mom. Sometimes I feel like I'm the meanest, laziest mom. I love my kids to death, but I definitely have some patience issues!

Goals
- Finishing my 1/2 marathon.
(Stacia, I'm not copying again :0) ) This has been my goal since we decided to sign up for it in January. Only about six more weeks to train!
-Patience. I will (one day) develop more patience for my kids, I will be slower to yell, and quicker to listen.
- Become more spiritual. I work on this every once in a while, and I can tell a difference, and then I stop and I'm at the beginning all over again.

Current Obsessions
- Food.
Not necessarily just a current obsession, ALWAYS.
- Reading everyone else's blogs, checking my email. I spend way too much time on the computer!!
- My summer plans! St. George, Camping, 1/2 marathon, Bryce Canyon, San Diego for a week. Here I come!!

Sheesh!!! this took me forever to do.

All day Kindergarten

So, I took Walker to the school a couple of weeks ago for his Kindergarten testing and they had me fill out a paper saying whether I want Walker in all day kindergarten or half day (they said they would have a lottery to see who got in all day). I decided I wanted him in all day because I couldn't deal with him being in school from 8:30-11:00 for another year. If you know Walker you understand. No one can keep him entertained for that long. I guess I'm not a nice enough mom to schedule his whole day out and keep him interested in something besides terrorizing Meg and the neighborhood for that long. So we got a letter the other day saying that he got in all day and I was excited, until I realized that he will be gone from 8-3 for the next 13 years. So sad!! He is getting BIG and it's crazy. Am I really this old?
