Carroll Camping

We headed up the the mountains (very top of the mountains!) last weekend and camped with Cory's family. It's a tradition that every year all the boys go bow hunting and the next weekend all the girls and kids come up and camp. It was lots of fun...even though Preslie is a menace :) It's so pretty up Ephraim canyon and Meg was SO excited about all of the flowers. We had bouquet after bouquet of flowers scattered all over our campsite.

 Look at that view...

 The newly engaged couple
Cory and I got to help set up and hide in the bushes to take pics of the proposal - it was so much fun. Then we got POURED on by rain the whole 4 wheeler ride back.

Walker was too busy playing with all the little boys to pose for pics. So I got the back of him

First days

I'm sad to say that summer is over...not officially. But at our house when school starts - to me it means our carefree summer days are over. Back to schedules and bedtimes and homework.
Walker started 3rd grade this year. I actually have a lot of memories from third grade. That means he's getting old. I'm not a fan of my kids getting old...

Walker is loving it so far. He's loving his teacher and being on the big kid playground. He's a really smart little guy and is always up and ready to go to school every morning. I'm loving that he comes up dressed and ready to go and most of the time he even matches. :)

Heres to a good year of 3rd grade!
Meg started preschool this year. I had mixed feelings about this one going to school. I kind of left it up to her whether I put her in or not and she wasn't about to miss out on any kind of social activity. She is so much fun and I can only imagine what she's like in class. Probably wandering around making friends with everyone telling everyone about her princess lifestyle and loving every ounce of attention she gets. On her first day I walked her in and she was ready for me to go. No need for mom to hang around.

She is loving all the crafts they do. She's quite the perfectionist when it comes to her artwork. She'll sit there until every last corner is filled up with glitter or glue, or every inch is colored in.

Can she stay in preschool forever?? I don't know what I"ll do when she has get even older next year.

Yuba Lake

Every year my family takes a camping trip together. This year we went to Yuba Lake and it was so much fun! We didn't stay long enough that's for sure. We swam, wakeboarded, played on the beach, ate lots of yummy food, sat around in the dark talking, fished, and sat through a HUGE windstorm thinking the whole time how lucky we were that we weren't on the boat when it hit.

My kids are so lucky to have to many cousins that live so close and close to their ages to play with. They always have lots of fun together.

The view of the lake was so pretty the first night. The moon was reflecting off of the water.
I told Walker to smile for the camera...this is what I got....
First attempt at wakeboarding, he was SO close!

Preslie isn't a huge fan of her lifejacket. I wouldn't be either
