Snow fun

Cory took the kids sledding behind the four wheeler the other day and while we were out playing the snow plow came by and made us a hill by our house for the kids to play on. It's not huge the it's big enough for little kids to ride down. So thanks snow plow man whoever you are!

Meg wasn't about to smile for any pics. But she still looks cute as an eskimo.
awww..so cute.
I know you've all seen Barkley already, but I was so proud of the pic I took I had to share it.

Christmas morning

Christmas morning was so much fun. We took it really slow opening the presents and just hung out. Walker asked Santa for a remote control Wheelie Cycle and got it. It is SO fast and definitely an outside toy!

Meg got a stroller, a little people farmyard, and a bunch of other little girl things. She was excited but got a little overwhelmed with everything. She just kept saying "open presents".
I had to stick this picture in here. Jill and LaMar gave her a bunch of bows and she had to put every one of them in her hair and wouldn't let me take them out for the longest time.

Christmas Eve

Every year on Christmas Eve my mom and dad have a party at their house. It's always so much fun with tons of great food, Santa, games and lots of CrAzY kids. This year we played bingo and the prizes were envelopes with random amounts of money in them from ones to one twenty dollar bill. Meg was the first one to win and guess which envelope she picked...Yep! She got the twenty. She got some awesome necklaces with it. Thanks mom and dad it's always so much fun. Walker, Ashlee,Kaitlyn, and Ellie watching for Santa's reindeer out the window. They spotted Rudolphs nose!!

I wish this was the real reaction Walker had when he opened ANY present. He was way excited about the game and didn't put it down for the rest of the night but I had to force him to smile. Anyone else have a six year old with a teenage attitude?
My mom and dad gave the three youngest girls cabbage patch kids with a bag full of preemie clothes to dress them in. Meg was so excited about her baby. She opened it and danced around forever saying, "baby, baby, baby!!" It was so cute.
Proof of how much Walker loves his new DS game.

12 days of Christmas Tag

1 Embarrassing Moment: Um, it could definitely be when Cory and I were in Cancun with Justin and Darla and I decided I wanted to learn to drive the scooter and I crashed us. Don't ever freak out and just gun it when you panic! All I could do was laugh when everyone was staring at me. I didn't understand why no one else was thought it was funny! - guess it looked worse than I thought.
2 Best Friends: Cory, family.
3 Things I buy regularly: milk, fruit snacks, cereal
4 Places I want to go: New York, back to Cali to stay in a beach house, on a cruise, back to Hawaii
5 Goals for the upcoming year: Get Meg potty trained, be a nicer person, start reading my scriptures again (like I should wait for next year), KEEP exercising, actually save some money.
6 Things people don't know about me: I can't relax when my house is a mess, I hate doing my hair, I love doing Meg's hair, I'm not very nice in mornings, I can't stand wearing earrings - I feel so weird in them, I LOVE shoes.
7 Things I would never say: Lets sit down and watch the Jazz for 3 hours!, I love watching sports on t.v. , I love stupid movies, No thanks..I already had one cookie I don't need another one, No, I can't go to lunch with you...I need to do laundry, Wow Walker, you put your shoes on so fast!, I don't need a new pair of pants.
8 Things I love about the Christmas Season: Listening to Meg sing Jingle Bells, All the questions Walker has about Santa and his elves, The family time, driving around looking at lights, my Christmas decorations and tree, the Christmas parties, Meg showing me baby Jesus in every nativity, watching my kids faces,

Elmo pics!

Happy bday to me!!Meg giving Elmo some love.

This one isn't an Elmo picture, but I had to remember how cute she looks in her apron. Grandma Jill and Grandpa Lumas gave her a table, chairs, pretend food, pretend dishes, and an adorable apron. She kept the apron on ALL day. She screamed when I tried to take it off of her.

Here she is after she blew out her candles. She's obviously enjoying some of the frosting she got on her finger. Grandma Jane and Grandpa Mark gave her an adorable outfit and some puzzles, Jamie and Barry gave her a doll and the cutest hair bows (my sis is so crafty!) How lucky is she to have such great family surrounding her.
This cake was almost the death of me! Red icing is not an easy thing to make. I put at least three bottles of food coloring in the icing, then it went too runny so I had to add more powdered sugar, and had no idea what I was doing. Then my hands were stained red. I was surprised that it was even edible. After MUCH stress and lots of tries I think it turned out ok. You can tell it's Elmo right?!

Look who just turned two!!

Happy Birthday Meg!! Today our baby turned two. Her first two years have gone by so fast. I guess it's normal for that to happen - time goes by just a little faster with each child. Even though I know it happens to everyone, it still makes me a little sad. She is such a fun little girl, always makes me laugh. She is talking like crazy, LOVES Elmo, is so patient with me when I mess with her hair for hours, is addicted to candy(wonder where she got that from) , is a mellow baby, is really good at playing by herself, she could entertain us for hours. I could go on and on and on. But I'll stop. We love this little girl to death and are so happy that we got her! . Love you Meggie!!!

He really does love me...

I had to post this so I could remember that Walker really does say sweet things to me.

The other day Walker was asking me about why Cory's younger brother Brett isn't married. I told him that he isn't ready to be married and that he hasn't found someone that he wants to marry. I went on to tell him that you have to find someone that you love and want to be with all the time, have kids with and be with FOREVER even after you die. So he says, "Oh, so someone like you?" awwww, he really does love me. Cory told me that he's a little boy and little boys don't say sweet things very often. So I had to get this written down before I forgot. :)

More Christmas fun!

We had our ward party a few days ago and the kids got to see Santa. Walker forgot to tell him what he wants, so we made sure to write him a letter a few days later. Meg - there was no way she would tell him what she wants - let alone sit on his lap! Maybe next year Meggers.

I'm not very good at getting pics on here in the right order. Shouldn't the finished house be last? It's too big of a pain to move pictures around on here so I guess I've ruined your surprise! :)
We couldn't keep Meg's fingers out of the icing.
Look at the concentration on that face! (don't notice the hideous tattoo!)
I had to post this one of Walker hauling our tree down the mtn.

Decorating the tree/ Cory's early Christmas

I didn't get a whole lot of pictures of us decorating the tree because I was putting the lights on as they were decorating it. We filled our night with too many things. We promised Walker we could decorate the tree and we also promised Cory a puppy. Both in one night wasn't the best idea but we got it done. Meg thought it was lots of fun putting the decorations up, if only she'd leave them on. The tree looks pretty silly, it's only decorated from about the middle up to keep Meg from breaking things. It's always fun to get the ornaments out every year to see them again. We've made it a tradition to give each other a new ornament for the tree every year so it's fun to remember why and when we gave them to each other. I love pulling out the bob the builder one of Walker's because it reminds me of when he was about 3 and couldn't get enough of him. Just brings back lots of good memories.

Onto the dog. I didn't want a new dog...EVER. It's too hard to get attached to them and have them die and they're definitely a lot of work, especially when they're puppies. Cory felt totally opposite of me. He was kind of lost w/out a dog (how do I tell him no?!) so he got an early Christmas present named Barkley. It felt like I was giving a little kid a puppy he even said, "I'll take care of him". If only I wasn't the one stuck home with him all day long. No, really he is a fun dog and the kids can't get enough of him. So welcome to the family Barkley!

Walker was excited to pull out his Ninja Turtles ornament!
Meg putting on the same ornament for probably the 15th time.
Cory's new pup! Look how happy he is :)
