Surprise Day!

The other day Cory and I decided to surprise the kids and take them up to Chuck e Cheese. We got a gift card for Christmas and finally found the perfect time to use it. So we kept Meg out of school and pulled Walker out at about noon and off we went to play. The kids were funny in the car trying to guess where we were going. They mentioned Disneyland, Trafalga, Kurt and Elicia's house, and lots more. I was a little worried they would be disappointed when we weren't in California when we got out of the car. :) I was really wishing that we were headed in another direction to Disneyland too but Chuck e cheese will have to do for now.

We had a great day hanging out as a family and watching the kids have so much fun. It was perfect for Cory and I too because Brett and Sarah kept the kids so we could go watch The Hunger Games and get a date for ourselves in.

This picture was taken before Preslie decided that she was afraid of the rides. The first one was a little more mellow. The second one moved a little too much for her taste. So she had her fun running around the place instead.

Meg loves to get her picture taken...who wouldn't like their picture taken with a cute little face like that??

Lake to Lake Relay

We had so much fun running this relay. We started at Gunlock Reservoir and ended at Sand Hollow. It was a fifty mile relay. We each ran an average of ten miles split into two legs. After cramped calves (Kurt), cramped butt cheek (Alicia), a dead battery, and a very smelly car we still survived. The team members were Cory, the captain, Me, Kurt, Mindy, and Alicia. And our honorary member was Jesse the driver. He had a pretty stressful, smelly job. Thanks Jess!!

This is us crossing the finish line. I can't figure out how to get my pictures in order.

I had to stick this picture in because this girl was catching up to me to Mindy's dismay :) and I ended up running with her for a few miles before she kicked my butt going up a hill. My team wasn't happy with me making friends with the competition. She was fun and made my run go by extra fast.  Thanks girl, whatever your name is.

Kurt got special permission from me to wear my pink compression socks. I made sure we got a picture of his hot self showing them off. He said he got lots of comments on them.

Way to go Team SWACK Attack!!

Snow Days

My kids have been so excited for the snow this winter...late winter. Isn't it time for Spring? They've got to get their snowman making skills up to par before it's gone for good. Preslie loves playing in it until her hands start freezing because she refuses to keep her gloves on. Whenever she notices snow outside she says "NO" (snow in PJ language) and wants to eat it.

I know this isn't the most amazing picture in the world, but I just LOVE these two people. (The branch is in the way because I was shooting these pics from the comfort of my warm, cozy home...zoom is great)

I love this face!

Walker is obsessed with sports...can you tell???

New Years

New Years Eve is usually a boring event at our house. But not this year. We spent it at Kurt and Elicia's house with Justin, Mary, Brett, Sarah, and nine kiddos. Three of which were two years or younger. Needless to say the party was not boring. We played lots of fun games and ate way too much yummy food. We love spending time with these guys and always have a great time and have lots and lots of laughs.

New Years Eve Celebrating

Christmas

Christmas at our house was lots of fun this year. It was the first year that Walker struggled to fall asleep from  anticipation. Makes me remember all the sleepless Christmas Eve nights when I was little. Cory and I layed in bed for about an hour Christmas morning waiting for our kids to wake us up. Wonder who the little kids in our family are...

The kids were spoiled rotten by Santa as usual. We did the usual delicious Christmas Eve dinner, Bingo, present opening at my parents on Christmas eve. Christmas morning was had at our house then we headed over to Cory's parents to find some more presents for us waiting under the tree. We are so blessed to be so close to family so we can share such fun memories with them.

Don't mind Meg's provocative pose. Just focus on their adorable faces.
One last reminder to Santa of what she wants for Christmas.
Preslie was so very excited to sit on Santa's lap.
