Happy Birthday Walker!!

Walker turned six years old on the 27th. I can't believe he's that old. I wonder if I'm the only mom who feels like crying on their kids birthdays. He's such a cute little guy and I want him to stay that way. He is an awesome kid, full of energy, craziness and fun. Meg couldn't ask for a better big brother and we couldn't ask for a better son. To celebrate his birthday we went up to Chuck E Cheese the day before his birthday and celebrated with a bunch of Walker's favorite people. Jill, Mary, Kayden, Brody, Kurt, Layne, Brett, Cory, Me, and Megs. We had tons of fun. I love that place. You can just let the kids run wild and they don't escape. Not to mention - I like playing the games too. I killed at the SpongeBob game! :) We ate Pizza, pop, and played.

Then on Saturday (His real bday) we had a party with the family again. This time all of his cousins were there. When I say all...I
mean ALL. There were 13 kids at my house running around. Cole, Caden, Cael, Tyler, Ashlee, Kaitlyn, Emalee, Jace, Walker, Meg, Ellie, Kayden, and Brody. Plus all of their parents and Grandma Jane,Grandma Jill, Grandpa Lumas and Grandpa Mark. Talk about crazy. It was tons of fun and Walker is one lucky kid to be surrounded by such great family. He got to pick out a bike for his bday and of course he picked the one that looks like a motorcycle. I didn't love it, but thats what you get when you let your kid pick out his own present. We tried to talk him into the "cool orange" one, but he wasn't having any of that. He got spoiled by everyone. Thanks to everyone for coming! You made Walker's birthday great. You guys are the best

Funny Emalee

I had to post this before I forgot about it. The other day Jamie was over here with Emalee, my three year old niece, and Em and Meg were playing together. Well, Meg started talking like a 21 month old talks ( a few words I could understand and the rest jibberish) and Em looked at her and said, " Meggie, we don't speak Spanish." It was so funny! I guess the way Meg talks sounds like Spanish to Em.

Sunday BBQ in Oak City

Here are some pictures of our BBQ up Oak City canyon yesterday. It'll probably be the last time we're up there before it warms up again. We had lots of fun and ate good food. Shawn and Meggie
Shawn and Sandi took all of the kids on a hike. I don't think they planned on the whole crew, but eventually every one of the kids except for the smallest ended up following them up the mtn. Shawn carried Meg up the whole way- my arms couldn't have done that! While they were up there they got attacked by a bunch of wasps. We were watching them from below and all of a sudden they were all running around screaming and we couldn't understand why. Of course they were running around screaming, there were wasps stinging them. Good thing they're tuff kids!

Waiting to eat

Stinkin' hole in the wall!

So, this morning I wake up and think, "oh, before I have this scentsy open house, I need to paint over that patched hole in the wall." So I go out to the garage and realize that we don't have any of the paint left that I needed! I wasn't a big fan of the color anyway, but it would have done until I wanted to repaint the room. - Well, 6 hours later I have repainted my WHOLE stinking living room. Definitely not what I had planned for my day. I had to put these pictures on here to show what a mess I'm in. Plus, to make things more difficult I ran out of the tan color I wanted to paint the room, so I had to use the red I had painted the one wall and do the bay window. I'm not saying that it doesn't look cute - but talk about extra work!

So, be careful of holes in the wall - don't patch them unless you are ready to have a paint-a-thon.

No new pics = no new posts

So, I haven't had the camera out much lately because we've actually been staying home! Well, sort of. We've been taking the boat out a lot trying to get in all the boating possible before the rez' empties out for the year. I'm so sad to see summer end. I've never seen a summer where I wasn't ready for fall, but this year is different. Only because of the boat though. (and probably a little to do w/ getting central air and not having to count on my dumb swamp cooler to keep me from sweating to death every day) so goodbye to summer. So sad.

Walker has been loving Kindergarten and I've been feeling pretty bored and lonely at home without him. He didn't spend a whole lot of time in the house this summer. He was outside running the neighborhood w/ about 5 other little boys. I love the street I live on. It's a dead end road in kind of an odd part of town where nobody comes down unless they're headed to one of our houses. So I usually feel like he's pretty safe. I just have to open the door and yell for him and I can hear him answering (usually) There are the occasional neighborhood searches for the boys. Last week we found them all in the chicken coop just down the road. So funny, but scary at the same time. So, anyway Meg and I get a lot of alone time together and it's fun, but weird w/ out big brother.
