Happy Birthday Meg!!

Meg turned three on Dec 19th. I can't believe that my baby is already three. It's crazy to think it's been that long since we brought her home. She is such a happy girl. Full of fun, dancing, dresses, dress up, dolls, anything pretty and girly is for her. She is definitely not going to be dad's tomboy like he'd hoped. We love her to death and love watching her grow every day. She's been so much fun to have in our home. Luv ya Meggie!

We celebrated her birthday with her grandmas, grandpas, cousins, aunts and uncles. We had lots of fun opening presents and watching her squeal at everything she opened. After she learned how much fun it was to open presents she ran up to the Christmas tree and started in on one of them before I could catch her. Thank goodness it wasn't one for her.

Christmas Fun

We headed out on our annual Christmas tree hunt this year the day before Thanksgiving. Just the four of us. Definitely wouldn't recommend that to anyone. Two adults, two kids, one GIANT HEAVY Christmas tree, and one two year old that demands to be carried doesn't equal easy. But it was fun...sort of.

I wish someone would have been there to secretly video tape Cory and I pulling our tree up the steep hill. We were both tripping and falling over the whole time getting covered in pine gum. I know that tree's mission was to drag us down the hill. When we finally made it up the hill, Meg was screaming at the top of her lungs thinking that we had left her so Cory had to drag the tree the rest of the way with just Walker's help while I had to pack Meg down the mountain on my hip. Even though we had such a struggle with the tree we still had some fun. Walker loved throwing snowballs at us. Meg - well, she didn't have fun. She's a scardey cat and wasn't impressed with the hills or the slippery snow. I think the dog had the most fun of all!

We gave the kids their Christmas church clothes and here they are modeling them. Maybe I'll have to use this picture for a Christmas card. They both look pretty darn adorable.

Happy Halloween!!

We had a great Halloween! Meg was finally old enough to understand the whole trick or treating thing. She keeps asking me when it will be Halloween again. We carved some awesome pumpkins, as you can see, went to a Halloween party with the ladies from the bank, and trick or treated around the neighborhood and to our families houses. Walker got to have a Halloween party and parade at school and show off his awesome pirate costume.

Happy Birthday Cory!!

We celebrated Cory's birthday on Oct 27th. Yes, I'm late posting about how much I love my hubby. Cory had to work all day so not a whole lot could be done to make it too especially exciting. But we tried. He came home to a steak dinner and dessert. Our mom's both came over (dads were out of town or at work) and visited and brought presents.

Just have to let Cory know how much I love him and how lucky I am to have him for a husband. He's such a good dad. Meg asks all day long where her dad is and when he'll be home and tells me she misses him until he finally walks in the door and she can tell him herself. He makes me laugh, keeps me entertained, is an awesome example, makes me feel loved, and keeps me as happy as can be.

Carroll Classic 09'

Every year Cory, Justin, Kurt, and LaMar have their own golf tournament. It's called "The Carroll Classic" They look forward to it every year and have all kinds of prizes for different holes and the winner gets the "winners jacket" and the trophy. The jacket is quite the sight! Not sure where they found it. Maybe the DI??

There was quite the excitement this year! Justin got a hole in one. But even with that hole in one...he still couldn't beat Kurt. Kurt has one every year except for one and that one went to LaMar. He's had some close competition, but just can't be beat very often.

Cruise!!

~another very long post for myself to remember what we did~

We had so much fun on our cruise! We left Ft. Lauderdale went to Key West, Cozumel, and Belize. We got stranded in the airport in Dallas for an extra three hours because there was something wrong with our plane. So after testing it FOREVER they finally got us a new plane. (Thank goodness we flew out a day early). We got to Florida around 8:30 p.m. (people in Florida definitely aren't the most friendly people I've ever met). Monday morning we got on the boat WAY before it left the port. I don't think I'd do that again. There wasn't much to do and we felt kind of lost. But once we set sail it got crazy and there were lots of things to entertain ourselves with. We went to lots of shows, comedy, dance/singing (gay men), love and marriage game, Quest game, karaoke (no we did not sing. We watched a lot of drunk people make fools of themselves- so funny!!), Ate YUMMY food every night with two couples on their honeymoons..they were about our age and we were on our 10 year anniversary...funny. In Key West we didn't plan anything so we just got off the boat and wandered. It was a cool place. Lots of old buildings and interesting people. Cozumel was so pretty! As we were pulling up I couldn't get over the color of the water. It was honestly the color of sapphires. We took a taxi to a private resort there and rock climbed, repelled, walked across bridges, and zip lined. Then we snorkeled and hung out on the beach. So much fun!! In Belize we took a HOT/crampted van until we got stranded on the side of the road...twenty minutes later we got a new van to take us Cave tubing. We hiked through the jungle for about 1/2 hour and got to the caves. It was kind of like Lehman caves or Timpanogas Caves but you floated through it on the river. Way cool!!

Our waiters we had every night at dinner. Don't ask me what they were saying most of the time. I just had to nod and smile to most of the people working on the ship. I think I'm hearing impaired when it comes to people with accents! Cory thought it was pretty entertaining watching me try to figure out what people were saying.

Happy Birthday big guy!!

Walker turned seven years old on the 27th of September! It's so crazy to think that Cory and I have a 7 year old kiddo! Walker is a very happy, busy, energetic kid. He's an awesome big brother and loves Meg to death, loves to play with his friends, dad, xbox, legos, and loves to have pajama parties watching movies and eating popcorn w/ his fam. He's a really smart kid, really good reader and loves school. We told him he could go mini golfing for his birthday and it turned into mini golf/pirate pizza place/coldstone ice cream day. Can you say "spoiled"!!??

Walker chose eggs and toast for his birthday breakfast. He thought the candle was pretty weird..but what can I say? I had to make it special right?

Cory decorated the cake this year. It was cute..just a few trees and one skeleton at a skate park - until Meg got hold of it. We were in a hurry that morning getting ready for church and Meg was left unattended in the kitchen w/ decorations. Voila!! Cake full of trees.

The plan was for Walker to take one friend w/ him to celebrate his b-day. Well, it turned into two kids (due to some guilty consciences- mine and Cory's. a little boy sitting on the curb all alone as we drive away is too much to take). The boys were great and had lots of fun.

Bow Hunt

It was time again for the yearly camping trip to Manti for the bow hunt. Not that much bow hunting goes on. The guys all go up the weekend before so they can get that out of their systems. It's always so pretty up there and the kids have so much fun being together with their cousins.
